The procedure of applying for Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan


  1. Download the Application Form, Print it and Fill it. Download. or you can get it from Following Banks, There is no cost of application form.
    • National Bank of Pakistan (NBP)
    • First Women Bank (FWBL)
  1. One personal guarantee required – No other security

Following individuals can provide guarantee for the loan applicants:

    • Government Servant of BPS 15 or above, OR
    • Any other individual having net worth of 1.5 times of the loan amount applied for.
    • Net worth is total assets (Moveable or immoveable) in the name of the individual minus any liabilities such as loans from banks or other individuals.
    • No, Blood Relatives’ guarantee is usually not acceptable to the Banks.

Pakistan China Economic Corridor to boost Sino-Pakistan ties: Sun Weidong


Islamabad, Dec 8: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong has said that Pakistan China Economic Corridor will boost Sino-Pakistan ties bringing the people of the two countries more close.

ImageHe further said bilateral relations between Pakistan and China will further strengthen with the building of the economic corridor.

 

Sun Weidong made these remarks while speaking at a cultural show organized by Chinese Overseas Exchange Association and Chinese Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday.

The cultural troupe from the Xinjiang region mesmerized the audience with its performance.

PM Nawaz Sharif paid first visit to Gilgit-Baltistan


Gilgit, December 6(online) : The Prime Minister of  Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday paid first visit to GB and  announced establishment of various development schemes for Gilgit Baltistan.

The Prime Minister who arrived here on his first visit to the Gilgit Baltistan was warmly received at the airport by Governor GB Pir Karam Ali Shah, Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah, members of the GB Council and senior officials. Kids dressed with tradational costume presented flower to PM.

PM Nawaz Sharif visit to the Gilgit Baltistan having prominent importance on the map as the areas combinedly bordering with Azad Kashmir, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, Afghanistan via Wakhan Corridor and Xinjiang autonomous region of China.

During his visit, the Pakistani premier announces various development projects in the region in accordance to its importance; vowing making it amongst the developed areas of the country while addressing to the party workers.

Medical facilities:

PM Sharif announced establishment of a cardiac center for facilitating local heart patients in their areas despite travelling towards Islamabad or KPK.

Security development: Establishment of a special force comprising of police officials has been announced today in order to maintain law and order situations even in the suburb areas of the region while modern weapons and equipments would also be provided to the force.

Airline Services: Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to be linked with airlines as the PM announced for commencement of reformation in flight operations of the national organisation, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in Skardu and Gilgit.

Newly constructed terminal of Gilgit Airport was also inaugurated by the PM after availing his visit to the area while the airport’s authorities got orders for its essential maintenance as well as facilities’ increment in passengers’ lounge.PM-3

The Prime Minister was informed that new terminal has covered areas of over 39,000 square feet having a capacity of 180 passengers.

Transportation developments: PM Nawaz Sharif highlighted the significance of developing economic trade corridor from Kashgar to Gwadar for the Gilgit Batistan.

Gilgit Baltistan would make large-scale enhancement in the exports and trade as well as employments after complete of the project comprising of motorway type road and railway line.

Atta Abad Lake’s location had been observed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif via aerial visit where the ongoing Economic Corridor project would pass through.

Energy development projects: Development work for generating over 15,000 megawatt of electricity will be commenced on Diamer Basha, Dasu and Bunji dams to fulfill the energy needs of locals.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif laid foundation stone of ‘Naltar-5’ hydro power project in Gilgit district having capability to provide electricity up to 14.4 mw by estimated completion cost of Rs.3.84 billion while it will be completed in 2016.

Educational project: The federal government’s administered upcoming ‘Youth Business Loan Scheme’ would also facilities skilled and educated youths of the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan by obtaining loan of 1 to 2 million rupees.

Gilgit-Batistan Council: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired the high-level meeting of Gilgit-Baltistan Council in the Gilgit district where Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs Barjees Tahir presented the particulars related to the budget.

Helmet declared compulsory for motorcyclists in Gilgit Baltistan

imagesGilgit, December 03 (Sost Today): Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan Younis Dagha released a notification for Deputy Commissioners of Gilgit Baltistan, in which all the Deputy Commissioner has ordered to implement the order immediately in all districts of Gilgit Baltistan.

According to the notification released by the Younis Dagha that wearing helmet has declared compulsory for all motorcyclists in all districts of Gigit Baltistan, especially for the motorcyclist riding on the highways of GB.

Strong action shall be taken against those who violated.

In last few months an alarming increase has been seen in motor cycle accidents in GB.

Illegal movement on Pak China Border

Afiyatabad/Sost Gojal, December 03 (Sost Today):  NATCO bus (Q 18627) carrying 6 passengers stopped by the Chinese security officers at Khunjerav while entering China. Only Two influence passengers were allowed to go for Kashgar. The  Remaining 4 passengers  were send back to Sost.

 Remember the border has been closed for all types of traffic from November 30.

According to immigration official that border was closed for trade and is open for visitors till December 2.

Whereas the Chinese security official said that the two passengers had special permission from Home Department.

DC Hunza-Nagar announce 10 Hospital in Moorkhun

Moorkhun Gojal, November 29 (Sost Today):  Deputy Commissioner Hunza Nagar Usman Ali visit Mookhun along with a delegation of Hunza Nagar administration on Wednesday.

DC announced the construction of 10 bed hospital in Moorkhun with the cost of Rs. 40 Million. He selected a site near FWO camp for the construction of this hospital.

Latter on the DC Hunza Nagar along with other officials visit Sost, where they finalized a site for the construction of 25 bed hospital.

Repeating History Jail warden injured in clash between inmates, officials


GILGIT: A jail warden was injured in a clash between inmates and police officials in Gilgit Jail, located in the residential area of Kashrot on Saturday.

ImageA police official, requesting anonymity, confirmed the incident. The fight broke out when officials tried to lock two key prisoners in a separate barrack in the prison. Other inmates started protesting. Enraged prisoners set a barrack on fire, forcing the police to resort to tear gas and aerial firing, said the official.

Warden Akbar Ali sustained minor injuries as a result of the riot.

Heavy contingents of police and other security personnel reached the site and cordoned the area off to quell the protest. “It’s all over now, the situation is under control,” said the official.

Hearing firing, panic spread among residents who feared it might be a sectarian clash.

In a similar incident last year, inmates torched a portion of the same institute, forcing the government to reconstruct it. Jail security has increased over the years following jailbreak incidents in the region.

Year 2013-14: Rs826m G-B council budget presented


The annual budget of Gilgit-Baltistan Council worth Rs826 million against revenue target of Rs543 million was presented for the year 2013-14 at Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) on Friday.

ImageThe deficit will be met through federal grants, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and G-B Chaudhry Barjees Tahir said while unveiling the budget. G-B Governor Pir Karam Ali Shah as the vice chairman of G-B Council chaired the session.

The budget will be passed in the next session on November 26, which Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will preside as chairman of the council.

Out of the total outlay, an amount of Rs325 million was allocated for development spending and the remaining for current expenditures. Continue reading

Traffic suspended on KKH for unspecified period


gfgNovember,18 Gilgit (Sost Today):After the Rawalpindi incident of 10th Muharam , tension rose across the country. In a high level session the Government of Gilgit Baltistan took decision to close KaraKourm Highway for traffic due tense situation. The security agencies have expressed concern that the Rawalpindi incident may affect the passengers traveling on Karakorm Highway, so the traffic should be suspended for few days.

According to the police source this decision has made for the security of passengers. After official notification the Dimar police took instant action and suspend the traffic on Karakorm Highway for unspecified period.

Hundreds of travelers stuck in Gilgit and Rawalpindi after the suspension of traffic on Karakorm Highway.

Majalis Aza held at Imamia Complex Sost

November 15 Updated (Sost, Gojal): Majalis Aza held at Imamia Complex Sost  in the memory of the holy martyrdom of Hazrat Imam  Hussain (S.A) and his family in the burning sand of Karbala. The majalis continued for 10 days during the month of Muharam.  People from Sunni and Ismaili sect also attended the Majalis and distribute edibles among the mourners.

Moulana Sheikh Mushtaq Ansari addressed on the occasion and said “The month of Muharam gives the message of Harmony, dedication and commitment to faith. We should never forget the sacrifices of the holy family and follow them. He further added:

Moulana Sheikh emphasized on social harmony, peace and unity among all sects of Islam.

In the end Ansari thanked the Isimaili Regional Council, Hunza for moral and ethical cooperation to make this event successful.  He also expressed thanks to law and enforcement agencies for providing security on the eve.
